If you are looking for an amazing animated series, then Marchen Awakens Romance or MAR is just what the Doctor ordered. When it comes to action with a dash of romance, this is the game that delivers time and again. To put it mildly you are going to find a wide range of different characters with regard to their personalities, and this is something that will keep you coming back for more every week. The characters voices are dubbed, and they are done quite well with regard to the standards of enthusiasts. There should be no trouble at all for either a long time anime fan or a newcomer to the genre to enjoy this show. Overall it is very lighthearted and not looking to break any molds, but at the same time it is definitely something to keep your eye on. If you are wanting to discuss the show with other people there are a ton of people out there who will share your passion, and when it comes to a show like this the community definitely helps. There will be a number of different options that come along, but this is one of those Anime shows that is balanced.

The chance to enjoy a show that has a great story without being too insane or edgy is definitely something many people take for granted, but with MAR there are a whole slew of different moments. Everything is emphasized through clear dialogue and a sense of emotion, it is not as if the story line feels rushed either. There are some incredibly talented writers and voice over actors at work here, and they definitely take it to the next level. With some Anime shows you might feel as if things were a bit rushed, but with MAR everything feels like it has been well thought out. The stories here are well fleshed out, and you can really tell that the people who write for this show care about the characters. Being able to watch something in which you develop a rapport with what is going on is rare, so it is definitely you should try and appreciate. While it might not be for everyone, if you need some light hearted entertainment this show is for you.

  • Verb Dog, When Action Calls!: Struck by a falling book of five-hundred-and-one English Verbs, Martha instantly becomes - Verb Dog! Using her unique superpower to control people with verbs, Martha sniffs out trouble and defends the town from evil. Martha's Adverb Adventure: Weaselgraft and Pablum have a new invention that is sure to make them rich again. The Adverbalizer activates adverbs - giving the user the ability to make things happen completely, sloppily, instantly? Of course T.D. orders one...immediately!

  • Billy Collins Speaks: Billy Collins writes great poems about dogs, and Martha thinks she knows why. Obviously, the former poet laureate must be a canine himself! When Martha meets Billy Collins she's in for a few surprises...as is he. Milo's Reading Buddy: When Milo reads in front of other people he gets nervous. T.D. has the perfect, confidence-building solution: a Reading Buddy! The whole gang gets excited about helping Milo. Maybe too excited. Can Milo find the Reading Buddy who's perfect for him?

  • Still unable to move, Alan calls out to his ARM, Merilo, to warn Dorothy and Snow of the villainous intruders inside the Training Gate. But as soon as soon as she tries to warn them, three members of the Zonnens kidnap her and use their ARM to trick and capture Dorothy and Snow.

  • With the training gate under the control of the Zonnens, Team MAR has their work cut out for them. Alan, held captive by the magical power of a Dimension ARM, sends Ed and Bell to look for Gaira. Meanwhile, Alviss and Nanashi are forced to do battle against a couple of Chess Pieces who want to put the War Games to an end and take over the World of MAR as soon as possible!

  • The Dog Did It: Martha shares the Great Oral History of Dogs with Helen, TD, and Truman. According to Martha, dogs gave humans lots of stuff: fire, philosophy, physics, art, and even language. Could this explain why Shakespeare's hero is named Hamlet? Martha Out West: The gang has borrowed a video camera from the library so they can film their very own Wild West production. They each tell their version, featuring with pioneers, outlaws, and€¦strawberry milkshakes?

  • Continuing their break from the War Games, Ginta, Jack and Dorothy go to an open-air market looking for some special new ARM. Once there, they meet up with a friendly stranger named Chero who shows them where they can find some priceless ARM. However, their search moves to the desert when a mysterious shopkeeper tells them of a Legendary ARM guarded in the desert.

  • Feeling betrayed by Alviss, Bell's affections get the best of her and she leaves Team MAR. Once outside of Reginlief Castle, she is kidnapped by Sir Varona, who in combination with his ARM, plans to exploit her magical power for his own evil and destructive purposes.

  • Team MAR wins the battle in the Desert Field and returns to Reginlief Castle to find Ian, who vows to kill Ginta. Since Phantom has called for a break between the matches, Ed suggests throwing a party, much to the delight of the rest of the team. Meanwhile, in order to avoid her overdue punishment, Rapunzel the Knight is forced to fight Ian, the rook, who proves to be a lot stronger than his rank indicates.

  • As the battle between Nanashi and Galian, his former comrade in arms, rages on, Galian reveals the truth why he saved Nanashi and left the Thieves Guild to join up with the Chess Pieces.

  • Skits on Ice: Skits is afraid of hockey pucks, but why? Helen tells the story of how puppy Skits chased a puck onto thin ice, and how quick thinking by Martha saved the day. Martha's Steamed!: When Helen and Martha discover a dog locked in a hot car on a sweltering summer's day, they snap into action. While they try to track down the owner, it becomes almost impossible for them to keep their cool.

  • Facing off against Ash, the kindly chess piece who protects children, Ginta is pulled into the Psycho Space where he must play "the Kaboom Game" against this benevolent, but menacingly-looking knight. Will Ginta triumph or will he get blown away?

  • Jack's got his work cut out for him when he takes on Candice, a full-on knight with a mighty Boulder Axe. Will Jack's attacks be enough for him to defeat this formidable foe or will Candice cut him down to size?

  • Alviss is up and this time, he has to face Hamelin, a highly-skilled Bishop adept at relieving his opponents of their magical power. Will Alviss' Thirteen Totem Pole be enough to beat this malevolent Chess Piece?
